CodeReading.org is a space maintained by Delyan Raychev for software engineers, beginners and experts alike, aspiring to grow their code-reading skills.

As Dave Thomas from the Pragmatic Programmer says: “code is reality” and yet we spent so little time reading and understanding that realty. “The way to learn to write great code”, claims Dave, “is by reading code. Lots of code. High quality code, low-quality code.”

CodeReading.org delivers weekly to your inbox snippets of open source code from varying languages, diverse problem domains, and alternating levels (assembler to SQL) to give you the mental models and tools needed to read, understand, learn from and enjoy code others have written.

This blog is inspired by Diomidis Spinellis’ bookCode Reading: The Open Source Perspective.
